Based in Sunderland, this role offers a mix of on-site presence (2–4 days per week) and office time (1–2 days) to provide variety and balance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, from inception to completion.
- Prepare, submit, and manage accurate valuations and applications for payment.
- Assess and process subcontractor claims and valuations.
- Handle cost control and monitoring to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Manage variations and produce cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide contractual advice as needed.
- Procure and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to programme requirements and quality standards.
- Produce and analyse project costings, budgets, and forecasts.
- Attend client meetings and support the team in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Desired Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in refurbishment or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT.
- Excellent negotiation and cost management skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Location: Sunderland (travel across the Northeast)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm, site and office-based
